Photo Gallery

I love stock photography and I'm truly blessed that my husband is a skilled professional photographer. Although he made his living in portraits and weddings, his heart still yearned for photographing scenics, nature, and wildlife, etc. I created this gallery in honor of him to showcase some of his work..

My Little Tribute to Wildlife

I love animals. Before I married Ken, I lived in a tiny 1 bedroom apartment. Some of the people around me would move out but leave their pets behind. Well, it happened to a poor cat. It took me weeks of feeding and calling to it before it trusted me enough to come close to me, but when we finally got passed that, the kitty quickly bonded with me. Soon, my new friend brought all her other friends (yes, I found out it was a female). Before I moved, I had over 16 stray cats I was taking care of!

Well, a little kitty cat is a far cry from wildlife, still I love animals. And, I especially like to just watch them in their natural habitat. I hope you enjoy these pictures as much as I do. Hubby took them all in various places.

Spying on the Raccoon
- Trust me, we were a lot further back when this photo was shot. He posed for the camera for a few seconds before he ran off! I converted him to black & white because I think it really gives you a good look at his face and especially his eyes. Black & white just does so well in conveying emotion in the subject.

At the Zoo AGAIN!
- The detail of our little friend here is astonishing. Using a long zoom lens, it looked like we were pretty close to him and yet the final picture quality never suffered.

"I LOVE CATS"

- They sure look peaceful, huh?
The most ferocious animal alive and yet
they can still look so calming.
Fast and furious I call em!

Enjoying the Water
- Hubby loves taking photos of sea fowl. We never miss a chance any time we're at a beach or riverside. We went to Daytona Beach FL to take a lot of our pelican shots and got a nice one of this little fellow. They seem to come out in the early morning hours and love to fly low across the water just before they land.

Coming Down, Down, Down
- This shot was taken in our apartment complex, we live in the woods alongside a lot of wonderful
little creatures. This squirrel didn't seem to mind us taking photos of him and he stayed pirched on the tree for a little while until he finally got hungry and ran away!

Nature Photography
Nature is one of those things I really love to be around. As an artist, I thrive on anything that can inspire me. Because I love to write, sing, and design—nature is a great way for me to just close my eyes and let my mind wander away to all kinds of fabulous places.

The White Rose
- This is one of my favorite nature shots. My husband found the rose all alone, but somehow in the photo it doesn't look all alone. It looks so full of life, vibrant I think.

It makes me think of how we all stand alone, yet we have family and friends around us who help make us whole and feel alive.

Purple Garden
- Hubby won an acknowledgement from 'Picturestock.com' for this photo. I chose to share it here, because I know how proud he is of it. I'm not sure where he was when he took this shot, it was before I met him.

"Friends Forever"
- Hubby won an award for this photo. He entitled it, "Friends Forever." It is so adorable. He worked for Glamour Shots, LifeTouch Church Directories & Portraits, and other photo studios just before we got married. He has won several awards for his work. This is one of his most treasured pictures.

Black & White Photography
I SIMPLY LOVE & ADORE black & white. There is just something so moving about it that you can't capture with color. Hubby and I took some wildlife photos and I took them into Photoshop to convert them from color. I was curious to see the effects. I loved them so much that I kept them to share here.

Basking in the Sun
- Hubby took this photo by the St. Johns River near where we live. He loves seagulls, pelicans, cranes, and other sea fowl. Although they don't like you to get too close, sometimes we're able to get all kinds of angles and shots of them. These three seemed content to just sit on the pier and gaze over the river.

Love My Family
- This ape family actually posed for us (or at least it seemed that way), because they never moved. This is just one of many images we took of this group. They were so adorable, all hugged up.

Crisp Leaves
- The color version of this shot is very beautiful, but the black & white version of it is just as moving. I found myself wanting to touch the leaves just to feel its texture.

Our Little Racoon Again!
- I know I put him under wildlife but because he's black & white, I had to add him here too. If I find myself staring, he almost looks friendly. I said 'ALMOST'. I wouldn't try to find out!
